Thoughts about reading fiction, nonfiction, & children's books, new & old
I’m sorry to double post, especially about randoming website/blogging stuff, but I really feel this deserves a special mention.
Jessica at The Bluestocking Society has started a Book Blog Guild. I’m not exactly sure what this means for the future of book blogging (i.e., how will things be different?) but I really like the concept. Book bloggers will have a central place (a “community center”) for events, lists of blogs, and information, plus we can stand together to “solidify our presence” in the web world, specifically if something comes up. I’m hoping that all the random things around the web can come together and be more central with something like this.
What do you think? Does the book blogging world need a central organization? I personally am excited about this.

Thanks for the plug, Rebecca. I hope it will be an organic experience that will adjust to the needs of the book blogging community. I guess time will tell.

Thank you for sharing this! It IS a great idea! Of course, everything depends on the execution, but they seem to want plenty of feedback and participation, which bodes well. And if nothing else, it’s a great place to find other excellent book blogs! I’m so glad they’re giving it a go!
