It was a sad day for me when I passed on my favorite parenting book. Caring for Your Baby and Young Child: Birth to Age Five by The American Academy of Pediatrics is a great book for any parents of little ones because it provides so much great care advice. But, I no longer have anyone younger than 5 in my family, so it was time to pass it on to another mom who does.

My sister-in-law gave me Caring for Your Baby and Young Children when I was expecting my son (my oldest). It addresses all stages of child development, initially month by month, then by year. It also includes a section on first aid for young children and medical and care advice for all the stages. It’s informative and yet easy to read.

I think it is a wonderful parenting resource and a perfect book for parents of young children. I suggest giving it to moms-to-be as a baby shower gift because it is one I referred to all the time!
