I Love You, Blankie! by Sheryl Haft and illustrated by Jane Massey (Little, Brown and Company, April 2015) is an adorable board book about a child imagining with a comfort blanket. I never used a comfort blanket myself, but my daughter loves to have a special blankie to snuggle (although she chooses from among a few). The child imagines the blankie as a sail for a boat, a hot air balloon, a cloud, and more. The book has a delightful rhyme to it, and it ends with the child carefully tucked into bed.

I really enjoyed this simple board book. The illustrations are delightfully whimsical, and the book as a whole is a fun bedtime book for a little one. I love how the child can be either a boy or a girl during your reading too: perfect no matter what kid you have to read to!

Here is a book trailer to get you excited about the book.

Did you have a comfort blanket at a child? Does your child(ren)?

Note: I received a copy of this book from the publisher for review consideration.
