They All Saw a Cat by Brendan Wenzel (published 2016) was awarded a Caldecott-honor book for its excellent illustration. Each animal and creature sees the cat differently. The child sees the cat in child-like shapes. The mouse sees the cat as an angry, fierce predator. The fish sees the cat in a watery blur. Each page has a different perspective of the cat and it would be a wonderful mentor text for looking at drawing and writing from unique perspectives.
The best part is that each page has a slightly different illustration style. The child’s page looks like it’s been put together with a collage of different textures. Other pages are watercolor or paint. Many are illustration, pencil, markers, crayon, and oil pastel. It is well worthy of the Caldecott Honor.
